hunter44's Question:
I want to know what is the best bow that is made by mathews.
's Answer
That is a matter of personal opinion You should go to some archery shops and ask to shoot some bows they are always willing to cater to potential buyers Personally I like the 2009 switchback thats what I shoot I love it I hunt white tail in Michigan What I like is that the bow id short axle to axle so it does'nt hit tree limbs as I turn in my stand to line up shots while at full draw but go shoot some bows and find the one that is right tool for the job you have in mind most of all just have fun with your bow I do!

Bret T's Question:
I was drawing back my mathews drenalin, without an arrow nocked, when my release broke about halfway through my draw. So i dry fired it, but fortunately I wasn't at full draw. I see no obvious cracks in the limbs, however, I was wondering if there is anything else I should look for that might have been damaged?
curtism1234's Answer
I agree, go to an archery shop (preferably the one you bought it from because he'll do it for free and won't be annoyed)
Or go to your buddy "hey you want to shoot my bow?" ;)

DAN's Question:
I am going to purchase a new bow this year. I have been looking at alot of them. I have narrowed it down to the Mathews Drenalin or the Martin Firecat Pro-x. I am leaning towards the Firecat pro-x because it is faster, lighter, and less expensive. Am I nuts for thinking of something other than a Mathews.
Daniel's Answer
I have a martin and i love it, but i like mathew's too. The martin can out shoot most people, and you really dont need a mathew's to hunt or shoot 3-D. Very few people would notice any difference between them. Martin also lets you customize a lot more. A nice martin can do anything a mathews can do.
Both will serve you well, and you cant go wrong with either. In your case id go for the martin.

im looking to buy a new bow and am looking at a mathews bow. Which would you get, the mathews DXT, mathews Drenalin, or mathews Swithchback. what is the better bow out of those. and please dont say like go try them out, i just want to know wat u think is the best. thanx
Reno's Answer
I shoot an Ovation.
I worked in a great bow shop for years, and I know my Shiite.
If you just want an opinion, you will get what works for other people. My Ovation will never set speed records, but I shot a 6 point, and a Doe this Year with it.
I shot a Doe a few years ago, then nocked another arrow, and shot another Doe that was near it. This is a testament to how quiet it is.
Its hard to put down a 5 year old bow that has harvested 13 deer thus far, 2 of which are true wall hangers.
I am not interested in speed, as much as a big bow, that is quiet. A big axel to axel is more forgiving. All these bows shoot different, and unless you have experience, you truly need to shoot as many as possible.
Otherwise just buy the one you can afford, and take the chance that it does not fit or shoot right.
I know this is not what you want to hear, but it is sound advice. Heck I would also look into Hoyt and Bow Tech as well.
When you choose from such high quality bows, it comes down to the one you want to look at as well as shoot.
If one bow were to fit the bill for everyone, then all the manufacturers would only build one bow.

Bryan S.'s Question:
I am getting ready to buy a new bow after this season, and i have narrowed it down to the mathews or the hoyt. At first i was leaning towards the hoyt because of the price but i recently discovered that the local pro shop carry's both bows for the same price.
dumdum's Answer
Hoyt makes a fine bow, but the Katera is not my favorite- they went for the speed by lowering the brace height, and this does not make a forgiving hunting bow.The Dxt is a great hunting bow. However, you should check out the Bow-Tech Guardian while you are deciding. Good luck.
